I Cooked A Lot Yesterday.

My parents are on vacation this week, so it's just me and my sister. And the cats, which is another blog post entirely. This one is about food. I'm pretty much back to my living-alone eating habits after two days of not having to cook for others. I get to eat what I want, when I want. (All my sister eats is pasta, Pizza Hut and iced tea.)

Yesterday, I wanted falafel. And I made it, and it was good. It was so good, in fact, that there wasn't really any leftovers to photograph. Oops. I'll try to take some shots the next time I make it.

I also wanted brownies. After some negotiating with my sister, who also eats brownies, I settled on peanut butter chip with peanut butter frosting. Oh yes. They are so peanut-butter-y that you can barely taste the chocolate. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.) This is how they turned out (pics after the jump):

Temptation.

I've been busy getting my ducks in a row lately (the primary ducks being my work/money situation) so I haven't had a lot of time to think about anything else. Hopefully that will change soon. I actually had the wherewithal to come up with a rather insane recipe last night, although I haven't tried making it yet.

Stuff I've Cooked/Eaten.

So last week I made this awesome steak bomb pizza (shredded beef, onions, green peppers, cheese) and meant to post a pic of it just to share my wackiness a bit. Forgot to do it until now (or maybe I'm just lazy...) but here it is, in all its greasy glory! Whole-wheat crust almost kinda makes up for the grease.

Mmm, Bacon. And Sausage.

I think I blogged about the Bacon Explosion previously, but for some reason I can't find it. Anyway, read at that link if you haven't seen it yet, and then check out this totally un-embeddable video of it actually being made... by a guy who apparently has never had to fry his own bacon before. *sigh*
