Anybody sick of Christmas yet? ::raises hand stridently::

Well, it's now two days after Thanksgiving, or as I like to call it "the day you can get the same deals everyone got yesterday, except maybe not in the color you wanted". Honestly, as I was going through fixing the sale signs at Macy's today, I was pretty sure some of the stuff was on even more of a discount today. I don't know, I set the Friday sale on Wednesday so my memory may be fuzzy.

I really couldn't get into Thanksgiving this year. Partly because it's not my favorite holiday anyway, since I don't get stuff (other than leftovers, OMG so many leftovers) and it seems like an awful lot of work for a meal we're going to eat and then sleep off in a matter of hours. But mostly because I work at Macy's.

And we got Christmas dresses the last week of August.

And the Christmas sweaters and such started coming in in September.

And the greenery and lights went up throughout October (big store, took a while).

And they started playing some Christmas music on November 2.

And we switched to all-Christmas, all-the-time earlier this week.

I'm burnt out on Christmas! Done! Finito! I mean, I used to love "Feliz Navidad", but now it makes me want to scream. Sparkling lights? Feh. Cheer and goodwill towards men? Yeah, you work at Macy's for the holiday season (which I will remind you endlessly began in August) and see how much cheer and goodwill you have left.

At least I'm done with my shopping. Ordered the last thing this afternoon, and now I just wait for it all to come in. Have to crochet an ornament for an ornament exchange next weekend, which I hope to bang out this afternoon, and I guess I should put up my dinky tree. I might do a blue and gold Hanukkah tree this year, just to be a bitch. ;) It's not like anyone's going to come up here and see it anyway, right? Right! So keep an eye out, I may post pics of my "Hanukkah bush" later this week.
